Project Summary

A One Earthworks successfully delivered Flyers Creek Wind Farm Balance of Plant Contract to Iberdrola Australia. The 145-Megawatt project is located approximately 20 kilometres south of Orange NSW. It comprises 38 wind turbines, access tracks, local road infrastructure upgrades, connecting the project to Essential Energy’s existing Orange North to Cadia power line.

Scope of works

A One Earthworks was responsible for the delivery of:

• 11km of Internal access roads designed to cater for the oversize/over mass component delivery vehicles.

• 200,000 m3 cut to fill earthworks

• 17 Turbine foundations, crane hardstands and blade laydown pads. Each approximately 17m in diameter. To meet handover requirements, each foundation prior to placing blinding requires a cleaning and excavation process where all loose rocks and material are removed, and dust blown out.

• To meet project demands A One Earthworks employed a number of local suppliers, labour and operators to assist in resourcing the works.
