Project Summary
A One Earthworks is responsible for delivering the Balance of Plant Contract for the Goyder South Wind Farm. Goyder South Stage 1 is the first stage of Neoen’s Goyder Renewables Zone. GE Renewable Energy Australia and Elecnor Group’s Green Light Contractors (GLC) form the EPC consortium.
The Goyder South Stage 1 Wind Farm is located in South Australia’s Mid North region, approximately 100km north-east of Adelaide and 5.5km south of the township of Burra.
Scope of works
A One Earthworks was responsible for the delivery of:
• 15 km of Internal access roads designed to cater for the oversize/over mass component delivery vehicles
• 440,000 m3 cut to fill earthworks including 235,000 m3 of drill and blast.
• 13 Turbine foundations, crane hardstands and blade laydown pads. Each approximately 20 m in diameter. Turbin excavation and base cleaning for blinding.
• All storm water infrastructure.
• All program quality management including geotech services and survey.
• All safety management under client systems.
• To meet project demands A One Earthworks employed a number of local suppliers, labour and operators to assist in resourcing the works.
Project Team
To deliver the Goyder South Wind Farm project, A One Earthworks mobilised our experienced Canberra-based team to Burra, SA. The team comprises a dedicated Project Manager, skilled engineers, supervisors, and leading hands who are on-site for the project duration.
