Project Summary

A One Earthworks worked alongside Symal and Future Generation to deliver the bulk earthworks for the Snowy 2.0 project, an ambitious expansion of Australia's Snowy Hydro Scheme. A One Earthworks was instrumental in preparing the site and performing vital bulk earthworks to make way for the major infrastructure, including the underground powerhouse and tunnels.

Snowy 2.0 is a pumped-hydro storage facility designed to support Australia's renewable energy transition by providing a reliable source of power through a giant battery. The project involves the excavation of approximately 27 kilometres of tunnels to link two reservoirs in the Snowy Mountains. This massive engineering effort will help store and generate electricity to meet peak demand.
